One of which is how the handmade ivory and black decorative boxes have mitered corners that follow the line telescoping from their tops to their bottoms. Once the bone and composite materials have been fitted together in tidy lines, texture is achieved on the surface when artisans mark the white speckled bone with a brazing tool. This level of specificity and the fact that the boxes are composed like intricate puzzles illustrate Aimee Kurzner's ability to bring complexity to artisanal accessories.
